Strategy and Plan of Action on Strengthening the Health System to Address Violence against Women

The Pan American Health Organization’s Strategy and Plan of Action on strengthening the Health System to Address Violence against Women for 2015 2025 (“Strategy and Plan of Action”) offers a concrete roadmap to address the Region’s priorities for preventing and responding to violence against women.

The Strategy and Plan of Action is designed to step up efforts by Member States, the Pan American Sanitary Bureau, and international organizations. This document takes a public health approach and focuses on what health systems can do as a complement to important actions undertaken by other sectors.
