Situation Report: Mpox Multi-Country Outbreak - Region of the Americas - 28 March 2025

Between 2022 and 28 February 2025, a total of 132,797 confirmed cases of mpox have been reported globally, from 127 countries and territories. The Region of the Americas (51.1%) contributes the largest proportion of cases, followed by the European (22.1%) and African Regions (21.3%). 

In the Region of the Americas, a cumulative total of 67,877 confirmed cases of mpox, including 151 deaths were reported in 31 countries and territories between 2022 and 2025. 

In 2025, a total of seven countries (Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Mexico, and the United States) have reported mpox cases, with no recorded deaths.
