Regional Update, Influenza and Other Respiratory Viruses. Epidemiological Week 44 (8 November 2024)

Regional Situation: Influenza-Like Illness (ILI) and Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) activity has shown a general downward trend in recent weeks, except in North America, where a slight increase in ILI cases has been observed. SARS-CoV-2 activity remains high in North America and is rising in Brazil and the Southern Cone. Influenza has generally declined, although fluctuations persist in some Caribbean countries and there is a slight increase in the Andean subregion and Southern Cone. Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) activity remains high in some Central American countries, with an upward trend in parts of the Caribbean and North America.
