This second edition is a subsidiary guideline product derived from various WHO guidelines listed in the bibliography, adapted to the refugee/displaced population or low-resource setting. It contains updates in technical information on infection control, clinical management and rapid operations protocols reflecting new guidance produced since May 2006. This revision was conducted through a review of literature and expert opinion, and final expert technical consensus through working groups from within WHO between July and December 2007.
