The Familias Fuertes program, adapted from Iowa State University’s Iowa Strengthening Families Program (ISFP), is a community-based parenting and family strengthening program designed to reduce risk behaviors among adolescents. The main objective of the program is to promote parenting skills and better communication among families to ultimately reduce problem behaviors and alcohol and drug abuse among adolescents and to improve social competencies and school performance. |
