A robust, integrated, nationwide contact tracing system is critical to support social and economic revival under the "new normal", by quickly breaking the chains of transmission. The system should successfully leverage the public health system, the medical care system and existing workforce and resources from non-health governmental sectors, civil societies, and communities.
This document is developed for countries in the Western Pacific Region, for use by national authorities. It outlines key elements and actions to establish a nationwide contact tracing system, as well as its implementation and quality assurance at national and subnational levels.
