The Alliance for Primary Health Care (PHC) in the Americas focuses on country action, strategic dialogue around health systems based on Primary Health Care, and the alignment of joint technical and planning instruments. A decentralized and participative structure has enabled the Alliance to build effective strategic and technical partnerships at the country level. Key to the Alliance’s success is the Ministry of Health’s strong leadership in guiding the country’s policy dialogue for the analysis of national needs and the development of investment plans, based on national health strategies and plans. |
