PAHO Library and Institutional Memory

As a hub knowledge of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), the PAHO Library is dedicated to facilitating access across the Americas to the scientific and technical documents or publications, originated by the Organization at Headquarters, country offices and Pan American centers. The acccess to information services ensures that health professionals, policymakers, and researchers can easily retrieve and utilize essential documents and materials.

Our commitment to preserving Institutional Memory allows us to maintain a rich archive of historical health data, providing insights into the evolution of public health practices and policies. Since the early times of the Organization there has been awareness of the importance of the compilation, preservation, organization and dissemination of its memory. This has been one of the major activities of PAHO Library and Institutional Memory.
