An opportunity for a local contractor exits at Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) Guyana Country Office. The successful candidate would update the National EPI Reference Manual as part of strengthening the norms and protocols in the immunization programme. This programme is in collaboration with the Expanded Programme on Immunization of the Ministry of Health.
Experience:
• Academic Qualifications with a first degree in medical or a health-related field plus a Master of Public Health or any Post graduate studies in a health-related field.
• Previous experience in the Maternal and Child Health/ Expanded Programme on Immunization over the last 3 years.
• Previous experience in working in Projects in Immunization.
• Good human relations skills must be demonstrated in dealing with all internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent in Microsoft word, power point and other computer programmes
• Good communication and team-work skills.
• Flexibility is to be demonstrated in meeting the goals and objectives.
• Ability to conduct training with groups of young adults.
• Confidentiality and integrity are always to be maintained.
• Languages: A very good knowledge of written and spoken English.
